You are a miracle hanging on the wall.

Sale price470.00 NIS

You are a miracle. These words were born as a private love poem I wrote for my wife and became a piece of iron that we hung in our home. It is a daily reminder designed to stop the "automatic" and choose the consciousness of a miracle over routine and habit. A gift of quiet presence and gratitude, which enshrines in iron the understanding that nothing is accidental – and certainly not you.

The work "You Are a Miracle" was born as love lyrics — a short love poem I wrote to the song Simcha, My Beloved Wife. I then created these words by cutting iron and rusting them (as is my way in the sacred). We loved what came out and hung them in our home, so that she and I would remember it every day, moment by moment — so that she would remember that she was a miracle, and so that I would remember to see that she was a miracle every moment anew.

It is the opposite of nature to think that you are a miracle and that your life is a miracle. This understanding is easily forgotten in the midst of everyday tasks, and it takes a lot of inner work to come to terms with this very idea at all.

The consciousness of miracle is the opposite of the consciousness of coincidence. It means accepting that everything doesn't happen by chance, and that I am not by chance.

We thought together that we wanted to put this out into the world — that it would enter more homes and more hearts, so that it would stop us from living on "automatic." As the poet says:

"My days today will be like thirty days."

"For my life will be like a plague."
